Languages-Japanese
The Japanese language is spoken by over 120 million people in Japan and in Japanese emigrant communities around the world. It bears no resemblance to any of the European-originating saxon or romantic languages, and by this virtue, it is a difficult language to learn and conquer. The language is written with a combination of three scripts: Kanji (Chinese characters) Hiragana , Katakana and Romaji (Roman characters ususally used for company names etc.) The language is also governed by a system of honorifics which reflect the nature of Japanese society, with verb forms and particular vocabulary indicating the relative status of the speaker, the listener, and persons mentioned in conversation .
