What are the typical Topics covered in Visual Basic Lessons / Courses?

And finally, concerning the specifics of Visual Basic programming, you can cover topics such as; Variables, types, operators, input/output ; Conditional statements ; Iteration (looping), and Functions. How long can it take to conquer Visual Basic ?
Depending on your existing computer proficiency VB can be learnt in 6-24 hours but in general courses are
designed to occur for a couple of hours each day or night and can be spread over a few weeks to a couple of
months.

Well firstly, understand that Visual Basic on its own is not a stand alone tool. It provides you with the tools that you’ll need to get the job done right. From designing innovative user interfaces to taking advantage of other application’s objects, from manipulating text and graphics to working with databases, Visual Basic provides the tools that you’ll need to get the job done right. So, depending on whether you choose to Freelance on Contract work or take the safe route of employment, both options can be lucrative avenues. Generally a VB qualification with associated computer experience can earn you anything from €50k to €200k depending on the company / corporation. Freelancers really make the money on speed of service. It’s all about your own run rate…. The faster you can turn out solutions the more projects you can get through in a year, and then obviously you can be one of the VB wizards commanding €500 - €1,000 per day.
