Aromatherapy
What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses essential oils extracted from flowers, stems, leaves, roots, or fruits of plants or trees and used as scented oils that are used to heal body, mind and spirit.
Essential oils can be administered with a hands-on therapy through absorption via the skin through massage, inhalation, compresses and baths. As they enter the bloodstream, the therapeutic constituents of the oils are carried around the body where their beneficial healing powers can be delivered.
Headaches, irritable bowel syndrome and backache are often the result of stress. Therefore no amount of pill-popping is going to provide effective solutions as this only masks the symptoms without addressing the real problem. An Aromatherapist will look at what’s causing the stress before considering a course of treatment.
