Hypnosis
Hypnosis, comes from the Greek word “Hypnos” which means to sleep. Contrary to popular belief however it is not a state of unconciousness but is in fact a state of heightened awareness or concentration which increases the susceptibility to suggestion. The term hypnosis was coined by Scottish physician James Braid who discovered hypnosis in 1841.
