Types of M.B.A. Programmes
There are 2 major types of M.B.A. Programmes in Europe:
1 year full-time Programmes where students immerse themselves full-time in the Programme for a full year, with lectures etc. on a working day basis, with plenty of exercises, study and project work to keep you busy late into the evening and weekend!! In order to partake in this type of programme you need to have the ability(and the means) to absolutely dedicate yourself to it for the year, it is not really practial to expect to be able to hold down any sort of job during this time. Friends and loved-ones need to be especially understanding if you opt for this type of Programme, as your free time will be limited. The upside to this option is that many graduates tesify to getting the absolute value from this Programme by being able to immerse themselves in it.
2 year Executive Progammes where students can stay in their day jobs, and typically attend lectures etc. on a Thursday and Friday evening as well as all day Saturday. However this type of programme is equally as testing as the full time programme, since almost all free time is taken up with study, preparation and assignments. This type of programme will appeal to those who would not have the means to complete the full time programme without some income.
