ECDL

This is a "must do" lesson type ! ECDL is the internationally recognised IT training certification for knowledge of computers and MS Office computer applications. The Microsoft knowledge you'll gain in ECDL lessons ensures that you are recognised by employers for your level of computer competency to carry out any work on basic IT, managing files, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and internet and email.

The ECDL syllabus is designed to cover the basic key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace. It is broken down into seven modules, each of which must be passed before the ECDL certificate is awarded. ECDL is open to anyone - regardless of age, education, experience or background. The modules may be taken in any order and over a maximum period of three years - offering maximum flexibility. Seven modules make up the ECDL, each of which must be passed before the certificate is awarded. The seven modules that make up the ECDL are:

2. Using the computer and managing files
3. Word processing
4. Spreadsheets
5. Database
6. Presentation
7. Information and Communication
