Learning
Unicycling really isn’t as hard as it looks!! Like learning any other sport or skill practice is required. With a couple of days of practice you should be able to ride a Unicycle, unassisted, with some degree of control !!
There are many ways to learn to ride a unicycle. Above all it is best if you can start in an indoor location like a Sports Hall, ie somewhere where you will get a soft landing!! The easiest way to start is to find a long handrail and use it to hold onto as you learn to mount and dismount.. Once you become comfortable sitting on the unicycle try pedalling back and forth a little a very short distance at first. When you’ve mastered this you should try pedalling forward the entire length of the handrail and then pedal backwards the other direction. Pretty soon you’ll be able to let go of the handrail and unicycle away to your hearts content!!
