“If you speak to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you speak to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” ~Nelson Mandela
Learn to Speak a New language

English Language Classes
Learning a new language can be an excellent and rewarding hobby or pastime. As native English speakers, we often feel that there is no need for us to learn a foreign language, but not mnay people know that only 5.6% of the worlds’ population actually speak English as heir native tongue.
It is true that English has become a global lingua franca over thelast 100 years but this should have little effect on your decision to learn a foreign language. The attitude that English alone is enough in fact creates self-imposed limitations, and speaking only one language, even if it is English!!, restricts your communications abilities, stunts your educational development , and denies your the ability to fully appreciate and understand the world in which you live.

Learning foreign languages for general interest/travel
Speaking a new language helps you to get to know another people and culture, as language and culture go hand in hand. Because language simultaneously defines and is defined by the world around us, learning another language opens one's mind to new ideas and new ways of looking at the world.
Learning languages for School/College
Speaking more than one language is a skill which will increase your marketability. Schools and employers tend to prefer candidates who speak one or more foreign languages. Even though English is widely spoken in much of the world, the fact is that the global economy depends on communication. When dealing with China, for example, someone who speaks even a little Mandarin will have an obvious advantage over someone who doesn't.
Learning languages for Business
If your work involves regular contact with speakers of foreign languages, being able to talk to them in their own languages will help you to communicate with them. It may also help you to make sales and to negotiate and secure contracts. Knowledge of foreign languages may also increase your chances of finding a new job, getting a promotion or a transfer overseas, or of going on foreign business trips.
